Welcome to Armonico Consort
AC Academy

AC Academy is a new project being run by Armonico Consort. Overseen by the directors Daniel Ludford Thomas and Laura Berridge, it seeks to give first class musical and performance opportunities to children from all backgrounds.

Performing only with professional groups and bands, the concerts are unique, as is our approach. These are some of the reasons that we have almost 100 children on the register for the Warwick Academy.

At the centre of the leadership of the Academy is the element of training and legacy of new singing leaders both professional choir directors and school teachers. The aim is to create a structure of knowledge and support, widening our ability to create singing opportunities for all children on a much larger scale. In a scheme being led by a key government 'Find Your Talent' area, we will be working in partnership with the Telford and Wrekin Music Service to create 6 new choirs of over 700 children and 6 new choir leaders during 2009 and 2010.

Plans are underway for new AC Academies in Stratford and Coventry, and on November 11 2012, in partnership with the education department of the Royal Albert Hall, all of the Academies will be coming together for a gala concert in celebration of the acheivement made.
