"Thank you very much for coming to work with us yesterday I had so much fun. It helped me so much with my confidence. When I am older the lessons you gave me will help with my singing career."

It is Armonico Consort’s belief that every child in this country is entitled to a free first-class music education, and it is towards this aim that our education outreach programme is working. We do not simply preach about how little children receive in terms of access to music making, we send out some of the country’s finest practitioner's to do something about it.
Since our education work began, over 40,000 children have benefited from our workshops, and we are proud to say that we are now the largest charity in the country providing singing and drama workshops across the UK. We have received critical acclaim from Local Education Authorities, Arts Council England, teachers and pupils - who particularly enjoy the interactive and fun nature of the workshops.
"I would personally have no hesitation in recommending you to any school looking for an opportunity to effectively develop the cultural aspects of their curriculum in a practical environment. The work you do is vital and I believe should be central to a truly broad and balanced curriculum which encourages youngsters to challenge themselves and achieve at the highest level. With education in England becoming evermore narrow and concentrated on Literacy and Numeracy, The Armonico Consort demonstrate how these skills can be taught in an interesting interactive and enjoyable way which engages pupils from the outset and encourages a genuine love of learning which will last a lifetime. Thank you for offering this chance to pupils in Liverpool."

The "Musical's in a Day" are of cross-curricular importance, focusing on subjects such as healthy eating and exercise, social inclusion and co-existence within society and environmental issues, as well as the more traditional curricular subjects such as history, geography, literacy, music and drama. The format in which these workshops are presented is multi-beneficial, as the children gain and develop skills in confidence, communication and social interaction, whilst improving their knowledge of specific subjects, using music and drama as the vehicle to do this.
"It was a wonderful opportunity for all the boys and girls who took part. It gave them lots of creative curriculum opportunities including dance, drama and singing. Team work, self esteem and self confidence. Enjoyment was the order of the day!"
C Bradbury, Deputy Head. St Clare's Catholic Primary, Birmingham.
Since 2005,we have worked in partnership with The Music of Life Foundation, and the UNESCO World Children’s Choir, who work closely with children who have special educational needs, giving them the opportunity to perform alongside professional musicians.
“Your input has been the best thing that has happened to this school for some time.”
Sarah Fielding, Haydn Primary School, Nottingham
